Native video signal transmission

Thanks to the transmission of a “raw”, native signal from elevated locations, we get fast and efficient live streaming of events.
PacketLight's optical transmission solutions enable broadcasters to use dark fiber or OTN infrastructure to achieve this goal.
In addition, SD, HD and 3G-SDI video standards require an optical or copper transmission medium, different encoding, signal compression, as well as support for different bandwidths. All of the above functionalities are supported by the PacketLight solution for native video transmission. Both solutions muksponder, strong and transponder They serve different video standards: SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI and DVB-ASI.
As part of a fiber optic network, they allow the signal to be transmitted without the need to convert or compress it. These solutions enable broadcasters and operators use of existing optical transport network (OTN) or dark fibers for efficient video signal management. They have a network management module (WebGUI) integrated in each shelf, thanks to which full monitoring and control, alarm management and other diagnostic tools are provided.
Shelf PacketLight 20G OTN ADM Muksponder PL-2000 is an efficient, affordable and easy to use solution dedicated to the optical transport network. Provides flexible aggregation of different services on layer one using a standard 2x10G OTU2 transmission. The device allows you to create 16 bidirectional client services of different bandwidth.

Supported services include:
- 3G HD-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVB-ASI
- Fe/GbE
- 1/2/4G FC
- STM-1/4/16
Thanks to this aggregation method, muksponder allows optimal use of the fiber network, which translates into less use of optical bandwidth, as well as Easier management and servicing of equipment.
The OTU2 transmission standard allows the PL-2000 shelf to be connected to any gray fiber using OTU2 or as alien lambda (alien wavelength) in existing infrastructure.
Shelf PacketLight 200G Single Wavelength Muksponder PL-2000M provides 200G high bandwidth per channel, allowing simultaneous 4K IP and SDI video transmission. This solution facilitates the connection of traditional video transport as well as IP in DWDM and OTN networks.
Supported services include:
- 10/40/100GbE
- 8/16/32G FC
- STM-64
- OTU2/OTU2E/OTU3/OTU4 OTN
Shelf PL-2000M can work with PL-2000 in OTU2 standard for interface aggregation SDI video.

PacketLight solutions are equipped with SFP interfaces, allowing the use of optical as well as copper modules directly in the client ports of the shelf. Dedicated video modules provide extremely low losses during optics-electric-optics conversion without the need for external devices.
Each video interface supports commonly used DVB/SDI signals up to 2.97 Gbps with built-in clock regulators, controllers, equalizers and monitoring functions. With automatic detection of video speed and configuration parameters, maintenance requirements and spare storage elements are minimal.
PacketLight's proposed DWDM/OTN muksponders reduce the required number of optical fibers required for native SDI transmissions. It is the optimal solution for transferring video and IP data between uplink locations, reducing costs and enabling operators to add video services to their existing infrastructure.
